SMALL ANIMAL BOARDING SERVICES
We are pleased to offer dog and cat boarding services in our indoor, heated kennel facility.
Dogs
Dogs, depending upon size, temperament, medical needs, etc., are housed in either large indoor runs (15 square feet) or large stainless steel cages. Each run is provided with a composite-type grate that allows each boarder to sleep off the floor. When appropriate, we also provide blankets for added comfort.
Each boarder is housed individually although the runs are large enough to house two pets from the same family when requested. Dogs are provided with "play time" in our outdoor exercise yard a minimum of twice daily, usually more, as schedules and weather permit. All boarders have a late night "bed check" at the Alpine Veterinary Clinic.
Our service includes the provision of a premium dry food diet (Hills Science Diet® Canine Maintenance) fed twice daily. However, it is highly recommended that owners provide us with their dogs food and feeding schedules to avoid digestive disturbances from diet changes.
For safety purposes, all canine boarders are required to have current immunizations which include Rabies, Bordetella (Kennel Cough) and Canine Distemper/Parvo combination.
Sorry, but for obvious safety and liability concerns we cannot board unsocialized, or aggressive dogs!!
Cats
Cats are housed in both medium and large sized stainless steel cages that have ample room for the pet, a litter box, towel/blanket and food, water bowls.
Our service includes the provision of a premium dry food diet (Hills Science Diet® Feline Maintenance) fed twice daily. Canned food is also available for those that are a little finicky or when appropriate, as a treat. However, it is highly recommended that owners provide us with their cats food and feeding schedule to avoid digestive disturbances from diet changes.
For safety purposes, all feline boarders are required to have current immunizations which include Rabies and Feline distemper combination.
Pick up / Drop Off
Office hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday thru Friday. We prefer pets to be dropped off or picked up during normal office hours, however, in cases of unforeseen circumstances we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
Any pickups/dropoffs after normal business hours must be cleared with Dr. Tina at the time the boarding appointment is made.
Pets will only be released to the owner or owners agent with written permission. Sorry, no exceptions !!
All boarding charges must be paid in full at the time of pick up. We accept cash, check, credit or debit cards. If the owners agent has been designated to pick up the pet please make prior payment arrangements with our office.
Boarding reservations are normally available all throughout the year. Historically, we do fill up early on major holidays, especially Memorial Day, Christmas and Thanksgiving. As such, it is recommended that you provide us with your reservation details as early as possible.
At the present time, there is no penalty for cancelling your reservation. However, we would appreciate your notification of cancellation as soon as your plans change.
We look forward to taking care of your pet while you are out of town.
